(April 2013) While much of the country is under snow, the Western Highlands have been suffering from a spate of wildfires. No rain for over two months has left the moorland tinder-dry. The grass and heather can be seen in the foreground, vulnerable to fire. In the background, Beinn Resipol's summit peeks from behind Beinn An Albannaich.

Much of the plantation between the road and the fence has been felled, with the native species being encouraged to infill the spaces left. A band of 100 yards or so remains at this point, before the moorland opens out at the foot of Beinn Resipol.
