About Me

I am a retired banker from the time when it was a trustworthy profession.
My interests are geography, travel, gardening, cricket and cooking (and in no particular order).
For anyone interested I am of the 'point and shoot' brigade. None of that 'extra zoom attachable lens with hoods thingys' etc. Too fiddly.
Apart from the odd scanned image, early submissions featured a Fuji FinePix F40 with the occasional Fuji FinePix F810. I graduated to a Fuji FinePix F600 EXR (with inbuilt GPS). Recently I acquired a Fuji FinePix S4530. And, yes I have been to Japan.
A frequent visitor to Austria where my wife and I chill out. I have become as a result a minor contributor to the German Geograph site. LinkExternal link
