        <description>These 70 year old streetlights were replaced in the new yeare (2005) after this photo was taken. The column in the foreground collapsed in the winter storms which prompted their replacement. It was sad in a way as we will never see such quality again.</description>

        <description>This is Oakfield Road looking away from LFC. The name Anfield comes from the name Ann's Field. The victorians heavily built on this prominent position which overlooks the city and also the river. Although the present day Anfield is slightly grotty, the area was originally THE place to live.</description>
