        <description>This house ruin at the western foot of Bryn Dafydd looked most peculiar, with its modernish oil tank outside! On closer inspection I found that the oil tank was being used by the farmer for storage, so presumably was not there when the house was last occupied.</description>

        <description>This was the last mine in the area to close down, apparently mined by a Canadian company until the 1950s. I visited it in 1991, and the buildings were in a fair condition; a ration book could still be seen inside the main building. In February 2006 all was vandalised and valuables removed.</description>
