        <description>Old maps indicate a footpath along the churchyard boundary of St John the Baptist, which continues out into the fields.  Now it is possible to walk around the remains of the stile, and a path is no longer indicated on modern maps.</description>

        <description>Looking north along the B1258 outside The Providence Inn at Yedingham. There is an old mile marker affixed to the wall of the inn next to the nearest door - [[3474032]] The old main road used to take the turn on the right and then cross over the River Derwent via a historic bridge, which, according to Wikipedia, was built in 1731. A new bridge was built in 1970, and the old bridge no longer exists.</description>
