Shared description

Brough Station

Brough station serves Brough in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is managed by First TransPennine Express, and also served by Northern Rail, First Hull Trains and Virgin Trains East Coast.
The station was originally opened by the Hull and Selby Railway in 1840 and at one time had four tracks passing through. The course of the additional outer tracks can still be made out, although these were removed in the early 1970s.
