Binsted :: Shared Description
A lightly populated parish a couple of miles west of Arundel that still remains very rural in character. Settlement was most likely based around a farm and a church which was built sometime in the 12th century. The village was initially based around the church but seems to have disappeared by the 14th century leaving only a few mounds in a field to the north. From that point settlement straggled around the 'U' shaped Binsted Lane with no real centre. The parish was joined with Tortington
to the east in 1933 then transferred to Walberton in the west in 1985.

are common to multiple images. For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
