NE1, a Newcastle City Centre development initiative has created a series of Pocket Parks at sites across the city, an idea born from the need to create more green space in Newcastle city centre.

Grey Street Gardens in 2011 are to host 'Monument Movies', where free classic films will be shown on a giant outdoor screen.
