From Wickham to Droxford and back :: Shared Description
A 13 mile walk, much of it along the old Meon Valley Railway line and most of the rest taking us far off "the beaten track". From Wickham we headed into the oldest and most historic part of the Forest of Bere and then via Soberton Heath and Soberton to Droxford. After a refreshing pint at a local hostelry followed by a picnic in the churchyard, it was back via Hillpound and Kingsmead to where we started. Thanks to all concerned for a most enjoyable and informative day.
