Earth Stars

Earth Stars [Geastrum species] are fungi related to the puffballs; when ripe the outer layer separates from the inner, splits radially at the top and the rays reflex outwards and downwards as they dry out. This lifts the inner spore producing part up into the air, a pore at the top opens and spores are puffed out by falling raindrops or other projectiles. They can be relatively frequent, but not always spotted, as they tend to grow amongst leaf litter under scrubby hedges and similar secluded places.

About shared descriptions

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
