Tour De France (Tour De Kent) 2007 :: Shared Description
In 2007 the Tour De France, a 2,200 mile bike race, which runs primarily around France, raced the opening stage of the race from London and through Kent to Canterbury. This was the second time the race had come to the Kent, the last being in 1994.
The race took part on the 8th July, running from Westminster, through Greenwich and key Kent towns including Dartford, Medway, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Tenterden, Ashford and finishing in Canterbury.
Hailed a big success it is proposed to bring the race back again to Kent in the future.
