More about me

Most of my photos are taken on a weekly walk which I do with several ex-colleagues and friends(all ex-teachers), normally four/five and occasionally six/seven. We have known each other for over 30 years. Some of my walking companions can be seen in some of the photos. We have never been stopped by the weather and nearly every week is good weather much to the disgust of our wives, some still work. We feel very privileged to be able to walk every week in Northumbria and mainly Northumberland. Very rarely do we ever meet other walkers, we keep away from the hot spots in the summer.

I produce a weekly account of each walk and keep a record of the bird life we see the most spectacular being an Osprey with a fish in its talons near Colt Crag Reservoir. One of many magical moments was seeing an otter for about 30 minutes at Folly Lake north of Hadrian's Wall near Sewingshields.
Long may it continue.
