Anwick covered an area of 54 acres and was only in use for the First World War.
In September 1916 No.38(HD) Home Defence Squadron RFC (Royal Flying Corps) flying the Royal Aircraft Factory FE.2 and BE.2. The squadron was transferred to Dunkirk in May 1918 which left Anwick without an operational squadron.
During World War II Anwick was set up for use as a decoy airfield for RAF Digby from 1939 to 1942, when it reverted back to farmland.
One remnant still exists, a hangar, which can be seen at the Anwick Garden centre (Grid ref. TF 1145 5077 = 53.042625,-0.339085)
