THE GRAND CHRISTMAS MARKET TOUR 2023
A short ride by train to Foregate Street Worcester on a very cold but sunny Friday took us to visit the Victorian Christmas Fayre.
It started in High Streetpast the GuildhallAll the way to Sir Edward Elgar's statue near the cathedral
There was a hot chocolate stallAngels overheadand even Santa shopping at Poundland
It continued down to Friar Street with it's Black & White buildingsand The Greyfriars
Past the Eagle Vaultsand along New Street to the Cornmarket.
Here there was a funfair doing a brisk trade with a Merry-go-roundand several other rides
A couple of policemen were there to keep the crowds in order
Worcester's Victorian Christmas Fayre is a well established event with a large number of stalls laid out throughout the main shopping area. Very well done and worth the visit.
