Introduction

Anyone with even the laziest eye for architecture visiting Nottingham is sure to notice at least one of this distinctive architect's work.
Watson Fothergill was born in Mansfield in 1841 (christened Fothergill Watson) and died in Nottingham in 1928. He reversed his Christian and Surnames in 1891.
For more biographical information look-up the references given below.
The pictures are set-out by decade, then year and then a separate heading for each building.
My starting point was the list of buildings on the Wikipedia article, which was then checked against Ken Brand's text, however neither make any claim to be exhaustive so if you know of a Fothergill design in existence which is not included below I would love to hear from you. Likewise if you would like to add to the images in the article then "get out there" submit the pictures to the site and drop me a line via my profile and I'll happily add them to the article (it will save my mileage).
