Introduction

A collection of pictures of Derbyshire style well dressings captured by Geograph contributors.

Believed to be an ancient Celtic or Roman tradition the modern form can be traced back to the 14th century in Tissington.

The well dressing season extends from mid-May to September in the Peak District villages.
