One of only a few Ealing comedies filmed in colour, 'The Titfield Thunderbolt' was filmed largely in the Cam Valley, Somerset with some scenes at Temple Meads station, Bristol. The villages of Freshford, Monkton Combe and Midford all played a part. |

All the above images were different locations used during the filming of Hell is a City which was filmed in and around Manchester in 1959, and released in 1960. |

The house in the picture was the delapidated ruin used in Ring of Bright Water. It is now a holiday cottage with a great view but extremely poor access. |

Straw Dogs The controversial 1971 Sam Peckinpah film used the farmhouse Tor Noon as the location for 'Trencher's farm' , where much of the action took place. The farmhouse is on the skyline in this picture: The opening scenes of the film were in St Buryan churchyard. |
