Note: We dont currently have a definitive list of Towns in Ireland (both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland), so the ones currently classed as a Town, is just a guess. There are probably some towns in the 'Places' list as well. For Great Britain, do have a definitive list.
Points
- Guess within 10km: 4 points!
- Guess within 50km: 3 points
- Guess within 100km: 2 points
- Guess within 200km: 1 points
- Correctly identifing a fake place as bogus: 3 points!
- Offering a Guess for a fake place: -1 points!
- Suggesting a real place is fake: -1 points!
- Unable to offer a guess: 0 points
The percentage, calculated is out of 3 points per place. So 100% score is managing to get within 50km of all places, if you manage to get within 10km can get over 100%.
Note: We are are only including places that seem to be unabigious, excludes where there are multiple places with the same name. We only using a random sample of villages (and towns in Ireland), otherwise would be swamped with small places. The total playable dataset is currently 2,855 places!
