This is a record of a trip on one of the Appleby-Frodingham Railway Preservation Society (AFRPS)'s excellent brake van tours of the Scunthorpe Steelworks site. Tours are run regularly - see: Link
- with no charge other the request for a donation at the end, and operate with the permission and co-operation of the site's owner. They are an excellent way of seeing and appreciating the workings of a large industrial complex.
