Geo-Trips :: North of Southend
Rochford
A drive from Woodford, Sun, 26 Jul 2020 by David Howard
There was a space on my map above Southend south of the River Crouch, and as usual I checked for any possible pre-Worboys signs before I went, and there was one but in a park so not on Streetview. There was a bridleway which must be two miles long, and although I roughly saw where the photo had been taken no such place appeared to exist along it where people crossed on a path. I did however walk around the park for around a mile and meet some very nice people who I asked if they knew it. The last one thought they had gone long ago, but it was a nice park and produced some good views. I then carried on all around the route around Rochford, turning back to Rayleigh parallel to the A127 to fill as much of the patch as possible.
Click the blue circles to see a photograph taken from that spot and read further information about the location. The blue lines indicate the direction of view. There is also a slideshow of this trip. ( )
