Geo-Trips :: Travelling to Stornoway
Ross and Cromarty
A drive from Corrieshalloch Gorge, Fri, 4 Aug 2023 by Anne Burgess
This trip is part of a series. | next leg |
I had the good fortune to be able to join a week-long botanical recording field trip to the uninhabited islands south of Barra. This was the first leg of the journey, driving from home to Ullapool, then by ferry to Stornoway.
I had allowed planty of time for the journey, so I had time to stop and take a look at the new visitor centre at Corrieshalloch, and, having been the first car in the ferry queue, to have a stroll around the village until it was time to board.
Click the blue circles to see a photograph taken from that spot and read further information about the location. The blue lines indicate the direction of view. There is also a slideshow of this trip. ( )
