No-one I knew had ever been to the Isle of Man (this obviously excludes Geograph Hunters, who have been EVERYWHERE) My mum and sister have been to just about every major tourist destination in the world. But Mum can no longer fly, so they looked round for somewhere you could reach by ferry. And what a gem we found. Our family quite often visits the Isle of Wight but Ellan Vannin took it to a whole new level. Today, starting from Kirk Braddan, we visited Kirk Maughold, Onchan, Lonan Old and New Kirks, the Laxey Wheel, Kirk Andreas, Jurby, the Point of Ayre, Ballaugh, Kirk Michael and finally Bride where we saw the grave of the island's most famous immigrant Norman Wisdom Link
