Geo-Trips :: Manx'd: Day Four
Douglas, Isle of Man
A walk from The Manx Museum, Thu, 26 Oct 2023 by Basher Eyre
preceding leg | This trip is part of a series. | next leg |
No-one I knew had ever been to the Isle of Man (this obviously excludes Geograph Hunters, who have been EVERYWHERE) My mum and sister have been to just about every major tourist destination in the world. But Mum can no longer fly, so they looked round for somewhere you could reach by ferry. And what a gem we found. Our family quite often visits the Isle of Wight but Ellan Vannin took it to a whole new level. Today, we started at the Manx Museum in Douglas. Half an hour later, I was done and dusted. My mum and sister, I kid you not, spent FIVE hours there before we all met up for a look round the church of our friend Father Michael Link Meanwhile, I filled in the time getting to know Douglas rather better
Click the blue circles to see a photograph taken from that spot and read further information about the location. The blue lines indicate the direction of view. There is also a slideshow of this trip. ( )
