Plaque to James Braid, golfer, (1870-1950)
This plaque is on the wall at the Town Hall, Earsferry.
Braid was one of the greatest golfers of his time winning the 'Open' 5 times.
Additionally he designed around 100 golf courses around the UK, including both the Kings and Queens courses at Gleneagles and redesigned the championship course at Carnoustie.
I particularly like the sentiments expressed on the plaque.
