Hambledon Drove Road
Hambledon Drove Road
Today the National Cycleway 65 runs along this track.
Hambledon Drove Road

Named on the map as High Lane this formed part of the ancient highway used by drovers from Scotland to the south east of England. Before the 18c the higher ground offered a drier, safer route than the heavily wooded lowlands. Today because the track is open to all vehicles it is popular with off roaders.
