Railway and pillbox, Haddiscoe
Railway and pillbox, Haddiscoe
The high Haddiscoe road bridge, whose pillars are seen here, has to be tall enough to clear the masts of sailing boats, as do the power line pylons further west. Towards the left the sugar factory of Cantley is revealed by the cloud from its chimney. The bank to the right of the rail line hides Haddiscoe New Cut, a canal joining the River Waveney to the Yare at Reedham.
