Newcastle was the setting for the classic 1971 gangster film 'Get Carter'
Many of Newcastle's iconic landmarks were used.
This is the high level bridge that featured in Carter's meeting with Margaret, and the car chase scene.

The High Level Bridge is a road and rail bridge that spans the River Tyne between Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead in North East England.
Designed by Robert Stephenson and built between 1847 and 1849, it is the first major example of a wrought iron tied arch or bow-string girder bridge.
