Demolition of a Controversial Factory
The company called (for most of its existence) Ferro Alloys and Metals occupied this old iron foundry from 1936 to 2005 (or there abouts).
In the foreground can be seen the foundations of a two-room single-storey brick office building. Both rooms had an en-suite toilet. The room to the front was for the last twenty years used as a meeting room. The room to the back, where the pile of rubbish sits, was my office from 1995 to 2003.
The rest of the offices and the Laboratory were in a Terrapin extension to the right outside the picture (they too had been demolished before this picture was taken).
