Royal Flying Corps grave, All Saints, Yatesbury
Royal Flying Corps grave, All Saints, Yatesbury
The gravestone marks the resting place of 2nd Lt Frederick Cyril Hoey who died in a flying accident nearby in June 1917. It was erected by his parents, Charles and Ida Hoey of 16 Shrewsbury Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin. Unlike the majority of the grave markers in the churchyard, this one is made of marble and has fine carvings of an aeroplane and the RFC badge. CWGC reference LinkExternal link
