Statues of William and his sister set in a small garden at the corner of Sullart Street and Crown Street. It is just across the road from the house where they were born NY1130 : Wordsworth House, Main Street, Cockermouth. The bust of William was erected in 1970, the bicentenary of his birth. The statue of Dorothy Wordsworth as a child is set on top of a drinking fountain. It was unveiled in Harris Park in 1896, where it remained until being stolen in 2000. The statue was later found buried in a garden in Keswick, and returned to Cockermouth at its current location in 2004.
