Geograph - photograph every grid square

This wet expanse of sand, with water pooling in the ripples, was exposed briefly at low tide.

The reason why I chose to take a picture from this spot is that I noticed, about 200 metres away, a conspicuous dark structure, shown in this photograph. Its tip, positioned centrally in this image, is pointing towards my position, but it can be seen to continue in a long gently-sweeping arc towards the shore.

It is a fish yair, a trap in the form of a barrier of stones, designed to trap fish when the tide is ebbing; it is now disused.
