Barnhill House
Barnhill House
This photograph of Barnhill House was taken from a nearby public footpath. For a view of that footpath, and of the lodge at Barnhill, see: NS4275 : The Lodge at Barnhill.

The building, as it now stands, is largely of nineteenth-century construction, but Barnhill was the seat of the Colquhouns from at least as early as the sixteenth century: see NS4076 : Memorial to the Campbells of Barnhill.

See also NS4275 : Barnhill from road to Overtoun House, which shows some of the other buildings at this location.
