Scarrington Horseshoes
Tower of around 50,000 horseshoes outside the Old Forge at Scarrington, built between June 1945 and April 1965 by Mr.George Flinders, village blacksmith for over 51 years. The shoes are interlocked without any supporting column to make the tower 17 feet high, with a circumference at the base of 19'6". It has an estimated weight of 10 tons and is thought to be the largest stack of used horseshoes in the world.
