The magic roundabout
The magic roundabout
These hand-crafted festive figures first appeared on the Abbotsford roundabout at Tweedbank last year over the festive period, set up by an anonymous volunteer. Two days after they were put in place this year, they were stolen, but were recovered from nearby Tweedbank Pond and once again placed on the roundabout. The theft was first reported in the local newspaper under the headline “The Gala Grinch who stole Christmas”. When they were reinstated the headline read, “Grinch can’t spoil Christmas cheer”. A happy ending, thanks no doubt to Santa’s little helpers.
