Quarry track 3, Strangstry Wood, Elland
This track was made before the railway was constructed c.1840, and is clearly marked on Myers's map of the parish of Halifax dated 1835. It was probably used to take stone down to the Calder and Hebble Navigation. Here the track has swung away from the shale quarry and is a deep holloway.
