Petts Wood Memorial Hall
Petts Wood Memorial Hall
Completed in 1954 and opened in January 1955, this was built as a community hall, dedicated to the memory of the fallen in the second world war. It was extended and improved in 1966 funds from a special appeal, one of the donors being General de Gaulle, who had lived in Petts Wood for a brief period in 1940 (see TQ4468 : Birchwood Road, Petts Wood).
