The Mynach valley in winter
The Mynach valley in winter
On a fine but very cold first day of 2009, the Mynach valley displays contrasting weather effects. The cold mist which has been cloaking much of the inland areas has been pushed back by the sunshine bathing the coastal areas, but its western fringe can be seen still well established at the upper end of the valley. In the foreground the sheltered southern side of the valley is still iced up from the overnight frost.
