The “Stena Adventurer” (formerly the “St Columba”) operated between Dun Laoghaire and Holyhead until withdrawal and replacement by the HSS ”Stena Explorer” SH2584 : Stena Explorer arriving in Holyhead. She was laid up at Belfast pending sale but, for a short time, had to relieve on the Belfast – Stranraer route while the “Stena Caledonia” J3576 : The "Stena Caledonia", Belfast received attention at Harland & Wolff.
