The A68 at Tow Law, County Durham
This picture was taken by zooming into the A68 which bisects the town of Tow Law in Weardale, County Durham. The town is known for being a windy location (complete with obligatory wind farms) and for its 'long winters'. Probably the reason for this is that a substantial part of the town is at an altitude of 1000 feet or more. This picture was taken from Dan's Castle which is close to the highest point.
Compare this picture with NZ1238 : Main street in Tow Law Differences to be spotted are the weather, removal of bus shelter, changes to advertising hoardings on a building, a speed camera warning, a new wooden fence alongside a building site, a different Royal Mail van and no doubt many more.
