This Woolworth's site occupies a prime site in Bridge Street. The side wall that is adjacent to Bourges Boulevard was rumoured to be a potential location for the wall frieze currently on Bridge House, that is to be redeveloped - see TL1998 : Bridge House, Peterborough. The frieze depicts engineers from history and I think goes largely unnoticed. It's a fine piece of modern concrete art work that deserves to be seen.
