St Cuthbert's Church was restored and partly or mostly rebuilt in 1834 on the site of a church that goes back to at least the reign of King Stephen. The tower is low and in Perpendicular style. There is a Norman window in the nave, but the 'Norman' chancel arch was built as part of the restoration work. There are many monuments to the Musgrave family and a brass, set in a marble slab, to William Stapleton d.1458 and his wife.
