Hallington and Bingfield War Memorial
Hallington and Bingfield War Memorial
This war memorial stands at a crossroads some distance from the communities involved. It must be one of the smallest of all World War I Memorials as it only commemorates six dead - although no doubt this represented a high proportion of the young adult male population of the tiny settlements of Hallington and Bingfield. The Millennium seat can be seen to the right. A large number of moles have also taken up residence.

The cycleway sign indicates the Reivers Route (National Cycle Network Regional Route 10 from Tynemouth to Whitehaven).
