Leigh, St Mary the Virgin
The Parish Church in Leigh straddles the boundaries of two of the ancient townships that made up the Ancient Parish. The old townships were Westleigh and Pennington. There has been a church on this site for several hundred years but the present church dates from the 1870s. The tower is older and has a peel of eight bells.
