St. Ippolyts Church, Herts
St. Ippolyts Church, Herts
Although this church dates back to the 11th century, most of it is 14th century. The name Ippolyts originates from St Hippolytus, a 3rd century martyr and doctor of horses. Apparently, sick horses were led into this village church in the hope of a miraculous cure.
