Although unidentified on the map the buildings in the distance (looking east from the bend in the road) presumably have something to do with the Kirkley Hall complex, which includes Ornamental college gardens and grounds with 35,000 different species of labelled plants as well as a Victorian Walled Garden and the National Collections of beech, dwarf willow and ivy.
