Lido Falls, Whorlton
Lido Falls, Whorlton
Pete Ball on a Swaledale Outdoor Club Barnard Castle to Winston trip on the River Tees about to run the Lido Falls at Whorlton. Shown is a nice level to run the river, but a retentive and nasty stopper forms here at high water, and even though the drop may be run further right at that level, the approach is guarded by a couple of stoppers making it worth inspection or portage right in high water.
