The Harvested Crop and Future Victims
Early in March 2009 foresters were hard at work in Wendover Woods harvesting timber. The crop was mature fir trees and they were thinning them out (rather than clear felling) to give the remaining trees more room to grow – to be felled in years to come. See, for example, SP8809 : A Tree Felling Tractor at work in the Wendover Woods.
