Obelisk at Mamhead Point
Obelisk at Mamhead Point
The portland stone obelisk was built by Thomas Balle in 1742. It was built to be visible to mariners - it is a pity that it is now back in the fringes of the wood. It stands at a notable viewpoint SX9280 : Mamhead Point, view to the Exe and Dawlish
