A geo on Toe Head, Harris
A geo is a deep, narrow cleft in a cliff face made by waves eroding along faults in the rock, and usually has a sea cave at its head. These caves eventually collapse, extending the geo, or leaving depressions inland which sometimes 'spout'. Geo walls are very popular with sea birds. See NF9694 : Geo na Gainmhich for the same geo looking seawards.
