Church of St Martin, Fangfoss
Church of St Martin, Fangfoss
At first glance this appears to be just another plain Victorian village church, but look more closely and one sees evidence of the Norman church that it replaced. There is a splendid Norman south doorway, a selection of grotesque carved heads and figures along the corbel table and several details outside and within. Nice to see such historical detail preserved and not just swept away.
